Millions of people live in the world who believe that life would have no meaning without love. Although it is a feeling that can have different forms and intensities, many spend their lives trying to have a romantic connection that makes them live what everyone defines as ”an incredible experience”.

Since things don’t arrive by magic, every day a new batch of singles lands at the First Dates restaurant in search of a person with whom they can connect in a special way and live all kinds of adventures. This is the case of Judith, a 41-year-old woman from Tarragona.

As soon as she arrived at the most famous restaurant on television, the single woman opened up to Carlos Sobera and explained to him that, although she likes women, she has had three children from two different relationships. According to what she said, it took her a long time to accept her sexual orientation because she did not receive any type of family support, but now she lives her life freely and happily.

On the other hand, the one chosen to have dinner with Judith was Beth, a 43-year-old woman who came from the same city as her companion. While the former showed up with an explosive and spicy outfit, Beth arrived at the space with a turtleneck sweater and a cardigan of the same color.

Upon meeting her date, the newcomer acknowledged that he is not what she was looking for: ”I thought he wasn’t my type. These laces you’re wearing and so on… they’re not my type. “I don’t judge whether a person is thinner or fatter because I can fall in love with a person who weighs 120 kilos, I don’t care, but if I were like that, I wouldn’t dress like that.”

Judith wasn’t very happy with the woman the program chose for her either: ”When she came in I saw my aunt and my aunt is almost 70 years old.” They both shared a city, so they gave each other a chance and began to talk calmly about their nerves and their reasons for attending the program.

After a few minutes at the table, Beth confessed that she had her doubts about going: ”I’m still in a cloud. My family told me I was crazy (…) Man, I don’t know, it’s not something that everyone does, it’s like throwing yourself into the river a little bit.” Given this reflection, Judith revealed that she has children and that they always encouraged her to participate in First Dates.

Throughout the evening, both realized that they did not have many points in common, since while one prefers the most homemade plans (Beth), the other is a fan of street life and more active hobbies.

After talking for a while, Judith started singing in front of the entire restaurant, something that horrified her date: ”The sky almost fell on me. I thought ‘this is what I see on TV and I think ‘what are you doing, stupid?’. Sorry for being subnormal, but what are you doing? Don’t you see that you’re making a fool of yourself?”

When we thought that nothing could make the date worse, Judith brought up the topic of the ‘plandemic’ and explained that she is not sure about the existence of the coronavirus. Faced with this reflection, Beth responded that she didn’t either: ”I followed his lead. “She was already so bored of listening to so many things… I followed along (…) I know it’s not an invention.”

In the final decision, both confirmed what we all expected and responded negatively to having a second romantic encounter, since they have nothing in common.
