The Mossos d’Esquadra have arrested two men and have dismantled a crop of more than 1,400 marijuana plants in Valls (Tarragona), who were in a house with a fraudulent connection to the electrical network and where they also found a firearm, reported Friday night the Catalan police.

Mossos agents from the Valls police station have arrested two men, aged 33 and 46, as alleged perpetrators of a crime of drug trafficking, another of fraudulent electricity and possession of weapons.

The police operation was carried out after confirming the existence of a possible marijuana plantation inside a house located on the Hortes de Valls road.

With the support of members of the Regional Area of ​​Operational Resources (ARRO) and the Citizen Security Unit, early Thursday the police entered the house where they located 1,422 marijuana plants, of which about 300 were in a parking space. drying.

They also intervened 59 lamps, 3 air conditioners, 4 filters, 50 transformers, fans and extractors and a short firearm.

Two men who were inside the house at the time of the police entry were arrested as responsible for the surveillance and cultivation of the plantation.

The circumstance occurs that one of the detainees accumulates up to 15 police records and the investigation is still open and new arrests are not ruled out.

The detainees have been placed at the disposal of the Valls guard duty investigating court, which has ordered the entry into prison of one of them and the release of the other with charges, reports Efe.
