Work has begun to implement a section of bike lane in Travessera de les Corts. The infrastructure will group the section between Gran Via de Carles III avenue and Joan Güell street.
The new bidirectional lane will be segregated from traffic with separating pieces or shelter islands. The section will have traffic lights and specific signage for cyclists.
The two-way lane will be located on the sea side of Travessera de les Corts and will have a service lane and a circulation lane towards Besòs. On the contrary, the mountain side will group two traffic lanes in the Llobregat direction, a taxi bus lane and a service cordon.
The works foresee that the section will connect with the bike path financed by the F.C. Barcelona in the Travessera de les Corts, between the Gran Via de Carles III and the Riera Blanca, financing linked to the remodeling of the Spotify Camp Nou.
The restructuring will provisionally affect traffic, although one bus lane and one traffic lane in the Llobregat direction will be maintained. In the Besós direction, a shared circulation lane will be provided between buses and vehicles.
