The lack of budgets from the Generalitat forces it to postpone the signing of contracts with the companies that must install prototypes on the offshore wind platform planned in the Gulf of Roses, Plemcat.

In a resolution at the end of March, the Plemcat commission reported that the specification of the conditions of the contracts to be formalized between the Energy Research Institute of Catalonia (IREC) – which is in charge of the project – and the successful bidders was “temporarily postponed until further notice” and, therefore, the signing of the contracts, too.

“The non-approval of the Generalitat budgets that co-finance Plemcat opens a new scenario,” the resolution states. The Plemcat processing is maintained.
