A few weeks ago, the Chinese automobile giant BYD showed some images of one of its new creations, but it did so with a certain camouflage. Now, we know what it will look like. We are referring to the new Denza Z9 GT, an electric vehicle that comes with everything necessary to become the next flagship of the Asian brand.
And, although the official presentation has not yet taken place, the first photographs of the model without the aforementioned camouflage have already been leaked. In addition to knowing its exterior aesthetics, some data and specifications have also been made public that already allow us to get an idea of ??what this sophisticated zero-emissions proposal will offer.
The Denza Z9 GT is a large five-seater “shooting brake” that measures 5.18 meters long, 1.99 m wide and 1.50 m high, with a wheelbase of 3.13 m. A huge panoramic roof to gain interior luminosity and a modern electrically activated rear spoiler are just some of the elements that the Chinese car integrates.
Power is one of the strong points of this latest generation car, as it is powered by three electric motors that together achieve an impressive figure close to 1,000 HP, which is distributed between both axles. The front engine generates 308 HP, while the two rear ones generate 322 HP each. It should not be overlooked that, between the three of them, they must move a car that weighs 2,875 kg.
For now, it is unknown what the acceleration capacity of the Denza Z9 will be from 0 to 100 km/h, but what we do know is that it will be able to reach a maximum speed of 240 km/h. Likewise, the model will be equipped with a BYD Blade battery, with LFP technology, but it has not yet been communicated what its total autonomy will be with each recharge. The vehicle will have various LiDAR sensors and carbon fiber body panels.
The official presentation of the Denza Z9 is scheduled for the end of this year and the model will be present on our continent for the first time in 2025. According to BYD, this vehicle is conceived with a global philosophy, so it is expected that it will be marketed in a large number of markets, although exactly which ones have not yet been reported.
It should be remembered that Mercedes-Benz owns 10 percent of the Denza electric car brand, so the German firm is also involved in this model that will be released in the coming months. This new car from China, which seems designed to fight against high-performance models like the Porsche Panamera, is the fourth Denza model after others like the D9, the N7 and the N8.
