The magistrate has followed the pertinent procedures and has initiated a procedure to give a response. Before he wants to hear the position of the Prosecutor’s Office so that it can rule on whether the court is competent to take on this issue. Once this step has been aired, he must decide on the relevance of Peral’s request.

Netflix will premiere on September 8 the miniseries on the crime of the Urban Police starring Úrsula Corberó who plays Rosa Peral, and by Quim Gutiérrez who plays the other convict, Álbert López. The Supreme Court ratified the sentences imposed by the Barcelona Court in 2020 in which Peral was sentenced to 25 years in prison and López to 20 for the murder of Pedro Rodríguez, the woman’s partner. The convicts and the victim were agents of the Urban Guard of Barcelona. According to the sentence, Peral and López ended Rodríguez’s life because he represented an obstacle to his love life. After committing the crime, they put the body in the trunk of the victim’s car and drove it to the Foix reservoir where they set it on fire. Peral and López were arrested on May 13, 2017.
