Today I want to share something special in The Photos of the Readers of La Vanguardia, a photographic report that I have titled Portraits of Diversity. Dreams and Encounters in Algeciras.

I invite you to immerse yourself in these images that capture the essence of diversity and human beauty in Algeciras. I hope you enjoy this little visual journey as much as I enjoyed capturing these snapshots!

It is a look through the lens at the lives and dreams that intertwine in the streets of Algeciras. In these photos you will see stories that speak of hope, diversity and human connection.

First, an African worker reminds us of the struggle and resilience that mark his path to a better future. It’s Samba, from Senegal.

And two girls, one African and the other Spanish with captivating green eyes, reflect the beauty of two cultures united in one look. They are Ana Imelda and Mariluz Alcaraz.

And I come out at the end with the camera because through the lens I am also “an immigrant in search of dreams” (it is a phrase that I like since I heard it said in 2021). I started photography with my mother’s cell phone in 2008/2009 and, since then, I have loved it.
