The Catalan director Laura Ferrés has started filming her first feature film ‘The permanent image’ in El Prat del Llobregat (Barcelona), the Catalan Corporació de Mitjans Audiovisuales (CCMA) has informed in a statement this Tuesday with the participation of TV3 .

In addition to the Catalan chain, the Instituto de la Cinematografía y de las Artes Audiovisuales (Icaa) and the Institut Català de les Empreses Culturales (Icec) also participate and the film has received the support of the Next Step of the Festival’s Critics’ Week of Cannes, the Torino FilmLab and the Center des Écritures Cinematographiques at the Moulin d’Andé.

Ferrés has written the script for this feature film in collaboration with Ulisses Porra and Carlos Vermut after being awarded at the Critics’ Week at the Cannes Festival, the Goya Awards and the Gaudí Awards for his short documentary ‘Els desheredats’.

‘La imatge permanent’ tells the story of a casting director who has the mission of finding a normal person to participate in a political campaign and, during the search, she meets a street vendor with whom she shares “much more than it seems “.

Ferrés has decided to work with the debuting actresses María Luengo and Rosario Ortega because this is the first time of the three and it is a job without previous rehearsals with which “he seeks more surprise than naturalness”.
