The return of the second Easter bridge this afternoon is generating delays in some points of the Catalan road network, such as the up to 12 kilometers that are being recorded on the AP-7, and traffic with congestion in a section of almost 11 kilometers on the A-2.

According to data from the Catalan Traffic Service, an accident is causing congestion on the A-2 in the section between Esparreguera and El Bruc in the direction of Barcelona.

After 6 p.m. there are delays of up to 12 kilometers on the AP-7, between Vilafranca del Penedès and Castellet i la Gornal, towards Girona.

At this time there are also queues of up to 8 kilometers between Roda de Berà and Torredembarra (Tarragona), in the direction of Barcelona, ??and there are another 7 kilometers of retention between Montornès del Vallès and La Roca del Vallès (Barcelona), in the direction of Barcelona .

Also heading towards Barcelona there are four kilometers of retention, also on the AP-7, between Cardedeu and Llinars del Vallès, and another four kilometers in Sant Celoni, also on that road.

A few days ago, the Servei Català del Trànsit expected that some 500,000 vehicles would leave the metropolitan area of ??Barcelona on the occasion of the second Easter long weekend.

To facilitate fluidity in mobility, the SCT has adopted special measures for circulation, organization and regulation of traffic both in outbound and return operations, such as the incorporation of additional lanes on roads such as the AP-7.
