Vilobí Base Football once again shows its most supportive side with a new edition, the twelfth, of BASEVILOBÍ SOLIDARI. The objective of this day, which will be held on June 1 at the Vilobí d’Onyar football field, is to continue scoring goals against social exclusion with the collection of food.
The initiative will have the participation of 19 teams from different clubs in the Selva region and the special presence of Barça Escola for the matches of the training categories. In a statement, the Girona club highlights the desire to help the people most in need by promoting altruistic values in childhood with a ball as an excuse, as well as others such as effort and teamwork. That is the goal of this entity, whose work in this type of values has been recognized by the Catalan Football Foundation of the FCF and also in the Jocs Emporium.
BASEVILOBÍ SOLIDARI was born 12 years ago to respond to the entire population affected by the crisis of the moment. The broad citizen support made it possible for almost 3,500 kilos of food to be collected in 2022 and distributed to those most in need, managed by Onyar Solidari. Vilobí Base Football now wants a new record.
The priority in food contributions are products such as milk, rice, empty legumes, cans of tuna or sardines, sugar, flour, cookies, dried fruits, broth tetrabiks, jars of peaches, pineapple, tomato or asparagus. They will be delivered to a place designated for this function on the same field.
In addition to the local club, the participating teams are Barça Escola – with five teams – La Cellera, Sils, Riudarenes, Maçanet and Penya Bons Aires.
