Only Santa Coloma de Gramenet is one tenth below the provincial average in terms of criminal activity, which is 4% in criminal infractions, with an increase of 3.9% with 1,337 crimes reported during the first quarter of 2024 in the capital of Cologne. Badalona, ​​criminal activity increases by 15.7% with 3,886 complaints made and in Sant Adrià de Besòs it grows by 6.4% with 908 crimes registered.

In Badalona only thefts have been reduced by 1.2% while the rest of criminal offenses have increased. A 20% increase in drug trafficking stands out, with 24 cases reported; 8.3% of robberies with violence and intimidation with 405 registered complaints and 13.1% of home robberies, with 112 cases in 91 days. The constant increase in sexual assaults with penetration is striking, of which ten cases have been recorded during the same period, in which they increased by 66.7%, and the crimes of injuries and riots of which increased by 43.5%. There have been 33 complaints. In Badalona, ​​42 daily criminal offenses were recorded during the first three months of 2024.

In Santa Coloma de Gramenet, forceful robberies have been reduced by 8.8% with 52 cases. Of these, 41 have occurred in homes, a modality that has increased by 5.1%. Colomians have also seen the rates of robberies with violence and intimidation increase by 13.9% with 115 complaints made. Also crimes due to injuries and riots increased by 40%, with 14 cases. On the other hand, crimes against sexual freedom have been reduced by 30.8%, with nine cases, despite the fact that five attacks with penetration have been recorded again, the same as during the last three months of 2023. In Santa Coloma there has been recorded an average of 14 crimes each day.

Sant Adrià de Besòs has once again seen the rates of robberies with violence and intimidation increase by 30% with 65 cases and thefts by 4.1%, which now total 251 complaints. Also striking is the increase in crimes against sexual freedom with seven new cases in three months, which increase the percentage by 75%, of these three were sexual assaults with penetration. The criminal typology of crimes of injuries and riots has also experienced an increase of 133.3% with seven cases. On the other hand, there has been one less case of drug trafficking and six of vehicle thefts. In Sant Adrià there is an average of 10 crimes every day.

In the crime report published quarterly by the Ministry of the Interior, since 2016 a new modality has emerged with force, that of cybercrime, crimes that are committed through computer means. The Barcelonès Nord region is no stranger to these criminal acts. In Badalona, ​​in the first 91 days of the year, there have been 637 cybercrime infractions of which 615 were computer scams. In Santa Coloma de Gramenet there were 163 of which 151 were scams and in Sant Adrià de Besòs 116 cybercrimes were registered, most of them scams through the Internet.
