The Madrid president, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, has accused the Government of generating “the ruin” of the agricultural sector due to “the ideology it sows”, after protests by groups of Spanish farmers that affect several Spanish roads.
“The Community of Madrid listens to and serves its farmers and ranchers. Without them there is no future,” Díaz Ayuso expressed on the social network X.
According to the president of the Community of Madrid, “no problem in the countryside is solved with the ideology that the Government sows and that is its ruin.”
To help the sector, Díaz Ayuso has indicated that the Community of Madrid has approved 7.5 million in extraordinary aid “due to the increase in costs and the drought.”
The protests by groups of Spanish farmers with their tractors have been affecting numerous main and secondary roads in the country since the early hours of this Tuesday with total or partial cuts due to the presence of tractors.
In the areas bordering the Community of Madrid, in Toledo, there are traffic difficulties on the A-5, at Km 37, and on the A-42, in Illescas, in both directions.
