The National Police have arrested in the Seville town of Dos Hermanas a man accused of sexual assault on two people with intellectual disabilities, a circumstance that he took advantage of to gain their trust.
The now detainee took advantage of the vulnerable state of his victims, who had different degrees of disability, with the aim of gaining their trust and sexually assaulting them, according to a statement released by the National Police.
The investigations carried out by the agents managed to find out that the alleged perpetrator of the events worked as a security guard at a construction site near the center where the victims resided, which attracted their closeness and curiosity.
The guard used this circumstance to provide sweets and candies to the two victims, in exchange for committing sexual conduct, according to the statement.
The center filed a complaint when it began to notice a great change in the behavior of both people, who spontaneously stated that they had been touched by a man, which led to the investigation by the National Police.
For this reason, the group specialized in this type of crime began an arduous investigation, made difficult by the disability of the victims.
Finally, the agents managed to identify the alleged perpetrator, who was arrested for the crime of sexual assault and made available to the Judicial Authority.
