The Civil Guard has arrested a 26-year-old Canadian fugitive who had an international arrest warrant since April for his alleged participation in a homicide with a firearm in Canada at the Josep Tarradellas airport in Barcelona – El Prat (Barcelona).

As reported this Wednesday by the Civil Guard in a statement, the Tax and Border Analysis and Investigation units (UDAIFF) of the airport and the Fleeing from Justice Group of the Central Operative Unit of the Civil Guard (U.C.O.) received information about the arrival by plane of a fugitive person.

Through a device in which several agents participated, the Civil Guard was able to arrest the fugitive, who is currently at the disposal of the judicial authority, which will decide on his extradition to Canada.

In addition to being claimed for his alleged participation in a crime of homicide with a firearm, a crime of drug trafficking and money laundering weighs on him.
