Aitana Bonmatí, Oriol Romeu and Pep Guardiola were the big winners in the awards given by the Catalan Football Federation (FCF) in an event held this afternoon at the Old Estrella Damm Factory.
The Barça player and Spanish international Aitana Bonmatí won the votes over Ona Batlle and Laia Codina with 95% of the votes. In the best player category, Oriol Romeu won with 67.5% of the votes over Jordi Alba (22.5%) and Sergio Gómez (10%).
Pep Guardiola, Manchester City coach who has won the treble this season, was proclaimed the best Catalan coach ahead of Xavi Hernández. The one from Santpedor took 75% of the votes compared to 17% for the one from Terrassa. García Pimienta, the third in contention, added 7%.
Sevilla player María Pérez beat Júlia Bartel and Meritxell Font as the player with the greatest projection, an award that in the men’s category went to Alejandro Balde, who surpassed Marc Casado and Félix Carreta.
