Pedro Acosta (Red Bull KTM Ajo) has begun to put the direct towards the Moto2 title with a superb victory, tyrannized from the first lap, in which he did not give a choice to Arón Canet, always second to his wheel, nor to Tony Arbolino, the pursuer who did not arrive. The Murcian adds his fourth victory in middle ground.

The 21 laps of the Moto2 race were Acosta territory. He only yielded in the first turn to the momentum of Arón Canet, who pushed polesitter Filip Salac away from first place, who soon disappeared from the middle. He gave way to the two Spaniards, who soon fled. On lap 5 they were almost 2 seconds ahead of the pursuers, including Manu González, Arbolino and Arenas.

They were also left without the possible threat of Alonso López, the great revelation of 2022. The man from Madrid had a touch in turn 1 with Berndsneyder and received a long lap penalty that sent him from 14th to 18th place.

The distance between Acosta-Canet and the group of chasers, with Arbolino in front, gradually increased to 1.8 seconds. But the Italian, in the last third of the race, got close to 8 tenths. It was when Acosta gave a twist to his rhythm, distanced himself again and sealed the victory by moving 7 tenths of a second behind Canet in the last two laps.
