Firefighters are currently fighting a wildfire in Warner Springs, California. This is the third fire in the county that started within a few hours on Friday afternoon. The fire, known as the Resort Fire, is located at Highway 79, northwest of Warner Springs Resort. At around 4:15 p.m., SkyFOX/KUSI in the Sky captured footage of large clouds of white smoke and flames burning the vegetation in the area.

According to Cal Fire San Diego, the wildfire is currently 30 acres in size with the potential to reach 150 acres. It is spreading at a dangerous rate as of 4:40 p.m. The Warner Unified School District took to Facebook to inform the public that the fire is situated just north of the school on the other side of the Warner Springs Ranch. They are currently evacuating students by loading them onto buses and vans.

Specifically, Los Coyotes students are being loaded onto vans and taken directly home. Other students who take Mr. Inocente’s northbound bus will be taken through Pala and Temecula to get home. The southbound route will continue as normal. Fortunately, there have been no reports of injuries or structures being threatened by the fire at this time. The cause of the fire is still being investigated.
