A very developed fire affects several small buildings in the town of Leganés, where at the moment the emergency services have no evidence of any injured people.
As reported by Emergencies 112 of the Community of Madrid, the fire started around a quarter past three in the afternoon this Monday in some buildings located on the M-406 highway, near the San Nicasio neighborhood.
Up to ten fire crews are working to extinguish the fire, which has affected several small buildings, some of them semi-open, and intended for different purposes.
However, emergency services have not been able to clearly identify what type of buildings are burning due to the thick cloud of smoke.
At the moment, there is no evidence of any injuries and the Summa 112 paramedics are on the scene as a preventive measure.
The Local Police have had to confine the residents of several homes in the San Nicasio and Pozo del Agua areas when they were affected by the column of smoke, which is horizontal due to the strong wind.
