A man was arrested this Monday morning for stabbing and robbing a taxi driver while he was on duty in the municipality of La Línea de la Concepción, in Cádiz. The victim, who has been injured in the neck, arms and hands with a knife, has minor injuries, so he has not needed any surgical intervention, according to sources in the investigation told Europa Press.
The events occurred at 3:00 in the morning in the Junquillo neighborhood, in La Línea de la Concepción, when a taxi driver, who took the client to his destination, was stabbed by the latter while trying to steal the money he had.
Given what happened, the Central Drug and Organized Crime Unit (UDEV) went to the scene and made a photographic report of the site and the vehicle, which was later transferred by a tow truck to the police station to carry out the police technical visual inspection. . This is how the scientific police compared the traces of blood on the hands and clothing of the alleged perpetrator.
Meanwhile, Local Police agents, thanks to the description given to them by witnesses and the victim, were able to arrest the alleged perpetrator of the attack in the Palomeras neighborhood. Currently, it is at the disposal of the National Police, in charge of the investigation.
On the other hand, the taxi driver was taken to La Línea Hospital to be treated for the injuries suffered, although these were not serious and he is out of danger.
