The explosion of a dryer in a laundry in A Coruña last week was about to end in tragedy. This is corroborated by some images leaked in the last hours through social networks. A security camera captured the moment the appliance exploded just ten seconds after a customer left the establishment.
The terrible state in which the facade and the window of the laundry room that flew through the air were left are a sample of the seriousness of what happened. Fortunately, everything ended in material damage. There were no injuries as no one was inside the premises at that moment, although the man who came out loaded with bags was barely saved from the accident.
The charger of a lighter inside one of the dryers that a client left by mistake was the cause of the detonation. The storefront wall collapsed.
The events occurred on March 28 in the afternoon, at the entrance to the Mesoiro Vello industrial estate. According to La Voz de Galicia, the owner of the laundry does not confirm that the images are from her premises, but she does affirm that she gave the images to the police so that they could analyze the sequence. At the same time, she expresses her anger at the video being released because of her private nature and wonders who leaked it to the SocialDrive Twitter account.
