A man has been arrested after allegedly killing his 36-year-old partner in the Salamanca municipality of Béjar, after he tried to jump off a viaduct, as reported by the Government Sub-delegation.
“The detainee had complaints from 2005 for domestic violence against his father and brother, while the victim had filed complaints for mistreatment against his previous partners, but none against his alleged murderer,” the Subdelegation detailed in its note.
Around six in the morning this Wednesday, the Béjar National Police received a call from a 49-year-old man who claimed to have murdered his partner and was going to commit suicide on a viaduct at km 412 of the A-66.
When the Police and Health Emergencies arrived at the couple’s home, located at number 7 Gredos street, they found a 36-year-old woman dead with a severe blow to the head.
At around seven thirty, with the collaboration of the Civil Guard, the National Police convinced the alleged perpetrator of the events to agree to get off the viaduct by his own means, and he was arrested.
Around the home where the event occurred there is a police cordon, the presence of the Local and National Police, as well as relatives of the couple, for one of whom an ambulance has been requested due to his state of nervousness, as EFE has been able to verify.
