A total of 15 Generalitat Fire Departments, three of them aerial, are working this Sunday afternoon to extinguish a fire that originated in the municipality of Roda de Berà, Tarragona, and which has forced the confinement of nearest neighbors as a precaution.

The fire, whose notice was received at 5:12 p.m., affects a forest area close to the Ap-7 and the houses that are part of the Masia del Virgili urbanization. For the moment, the head of the fire has been stopped by the railway line. The right flank progresses due to the wind but not the left, the Generalitat Bombers report on their Twitter.

The 112 emergency service has received 202 phone calls warning of the presence of the fire. The circulation of trains on the R13 line, which goes from Barcelona Estació França to Lleida (por Valls), has been interrupted between Roda de Berà and Sant Vicenç de Calders, Civil Protection has informed. According to the Catalan Traffic Service, there is no impact on traffic on the Ap-7 highway.
