The Municipal Police of Madrid arrested a 39-year-old man last Saturday for trying to sexually assault his 7-year-old daughter in their home in the Puente de Vallecas district, as a spokesperson for the Local Police informed Europa Press today.
The events occurred on the 2nd at 2:00 p.m. in an apartment on Mestanza Street, in the Entrevías neighborhood. There a man of Salvadoran origin took her little daughter to her room, stripped her naked and went under her pants with the supposed objective of sexually assaulting her. But the girl escaped and took refuge in her grandmother’s room, so she called the police.
Municipal agents went to the scene, where without asking the father he stated that “he had not done anything to his daughter.” Then they met separately with the girl, who very nervously told them that her father had wanted to do “ugly things to her that she didn’t want.”
The mother was not at home at the time, so the police went to her work to tell her what had happened. The woman pointed out that “it was not the first time this had happened” but that she was afraid to reproach her husband for these actions because she was afraid of him and was in an irregular situation in Spain.
For their part, the couple’s close relatives indicated that they knew nothing about the alleged sexual assaults suffered by the little girl, the newspaper El Mundo detailed today.
For all this, the father was arrested for an alleged crime of sexual assault with the aggravating factor of kinship. He was directed to the UFAM of the National Police and the Juvenile Prosecutor’s Office was informed. Now, the Police are also investigating whether the couple’s other daughter – 10 years old – has suffered sexual assault at any time.
