Jenni Hermoso was one of the protagonists of last New Year’s Eve. The soccer player was present on RTVE accompanying Ramón García and Ana Mena in the Campadas to welcome 2024 and leave behind a 2023 that was complicated for her on a personal level despite having become world champion.
His appearance in the Chimes has generated all kinds of comments. And one of those who has given his opinion on Hermoso’s presence in Puerta del Sol has been Luis Rubiales, former president of the RFEF, accused of having given a non-consensual kiss to the soccer player, who has just signed for Tigres.
In an interview given to EDATV before the end of the year, Rubiales expressed his disagreement with the election of Hermoso by a public channel like RTVE, financed by Spanish taxpayers. This matter, according to him, is currently being analyzed in the National Court, which is why he preferred to refrain from giving a detailed opinion.
At the same time, he announced that he would not continue the Campanadas on La1, opting to spend time with his family and loved ones: “or I’m going to see with dear people, Christmas is for that. I’ve been with my daughters, with my mother, with “My family and friends. Let everyone watch it wherever they want, but I’m not going to watch it on TVE.”
For her part, Jenni Hermoso, in her appearance at the Chimes, shared her enthusiasm and gratitude for the opportunity to be present at such an important moment: “I have always watched the chimes on Spanish Television from home and I think being on this balcony so emblematic… I am going to remember this experience for the rest of my life.
In addition, she highlighted the importance of equality and solidarity, congratulating her teammates on the World Cup and the empowerment achieved. In her words, 2024 is an expected year to achieve more titles and advance equality.
