The National Police has arrested the confessed author of the murder of a 28-year-old woman of Ukrainian nationality, whose lifeless body was found on October 24 in an advanced state of decomposition, covered with a blanket and covered with some branches in a stream in Malaga.
The arrested man, 43 years old and of Spanish nationality, lived with the woman, who was murdered with a blunt object and a knife. Subsequently, the suspect disposed of the body, hiding it in a sugarcane field, according to police sources.
Along with the main person under investigation, detained since last Thursday, the agents have arrested two other people as alleged accessories to the facts.
After the investigation, the agents have managed to clarify the violent crime and that the person under investigation had an emotional relationship with the woman and the two lived together in a hut in the El Tarajal area, in the capital of Malaga, until the moment of their disappearance.
The main suspect will be handed over to the Violence Against Women Court number 2 of Malaga this Friday.
The body of the young Ukrainian woman was located under a blanket and covered with several branches in a stream known as ‘Pocapringue’, near the La Huertecilla Industrial Estate in the Malaga capital. Given her state of putrefaction, the full identification of the woman’s body was delayed until it was confirmed that she was a young woman of Ukrainian origin.
The agents had been tracking her whereabouts since the Ukrainian Consulate filed a report for the disappearance of her compatriot on September 4 (due to the family’s inability to contact her).
According to the investigation, the woman was murdered by her partner at the beginning of August and for this the murderer used a blunt object and a knife. Later, the suspect disposed of the body, hiding it in a reed field.
After several searches through the area where the victim frequented, agents of the National Police located the lifeless body of the young woman on October 24, in an advanced state of decomposition.
Continuing with the investigations, investigators managed to locate several people with whom the victim was involved before his disappearance. The agents identified the perpetrator of the death, as well as two other men, ages 23 and 33, arrested for their alleged involvement in a cover-up crime.
The latter were aware of the murder and, despite being heard in a statement, they allegedly failed to tell the truth and intentionally and maliciously omitted information.
Finally, the investigative work itself distorted the alibis of those investigated, who, in the case of the material perpetrator, ended up confessing to the crime at police headquarters.
