I have made this report for La Vanguardia Readers’ Photos in a somewhat curious place in the Anoia region, located in the forest, near a high-capacity car route. I’m talking about the Seguers-Sant Pere Sallavinera train station.

This station is surrounded by forest, next to some farmhouses scattered nearby. Also, right next to the train platform, we can find a small park and some picnic tables to eat something.

A detail that is appreciated, but that is still curious due to its location. Another thing that caught my attention is that the station is about 30 minutes walk from the towns that give it its name.

This stop is also very close to those of Calaf and Aguilar de Segarra. The station serves some rural towns and they surely do not provide many passengers, but they must be grateful that the train stops here.

When these types of small stations are closed, it is an unfair situation for all those towns, which have no alternative in public transportation due to their location, since they are not profitable for the transportation companies.

So you are lucky here, although the train frequency is not high. The line has only six trains passing through this station all day. Perhaps now it would be time to think about increasing frequencies and the punctuality of this service.
