Lara Álvarez has become one of the best-known faces on television over the years. The presenter has been in this world since 2006, when she started on Telemadrid, but it was not until 2015 that her career took a 180-degree turn: she was chosen to co-present Supervivientes 2015 from Honduras.

After this, his popularity has skyrocketed and the public has been able to get to know his personality and charisma during the following years, always linked to Mediaset. However, she herself has been in charge of announcing that this stage has come to an end with a brief statement on social networks.

“After almost 10 years that I will always remember, I have decided to leave Mediaset to embark on a new professional path. Thank you all for your love. Lara”, this is how the presenter revealed on her Instagram account her departure from the group to which she had belonged. a decade and in which he has grown as a professional in a meteoric way.

A statement that has collected more than 17,000 likes in half an hour and has generated hundreds of comments. “Thank you for everything, Lara,” the Mediaset España account responded. Added to this are countless messages of affection from numerous well-known faces, including Laura Fa, Marisa Martín Blázquez, Toñi Moreno, Ana Morgade, Mercedes Milá and Miquel Valls.

“My beauty!!! It has been a pleasure to meet you these years!!! All the luck in the world!” said Sandra Barneda, one of Telecinco’s star presenters. “Huge kiss. A pleasure to have shared great moments with you,” commented Marta Flich, manager of the Big Brother brand.

A fact that, although it could have occurred at any time after his latest decisions, never ceases to surprise. Lara Álvarez was in charge of the survival contest for eight editions and she left her role unexpectedly, giving way to Laura Madrueño in 2023. Since then, she has not stopped bouncing from program to program.

“There are priorities that change in your life. I think change has to come from you. If you don’t cause it, sometimes it doesn’t happen,” said the presenter when she said goodbye to Survivors. After this, she was assigned to host programs such as Nightmare in Paradise, Me Resbala or La Mejor Generación, without managing to attract the audience in any of these spaces.

It is not surprising that this stagnation was a turning point for Lara Álvarez to decide to leave the group and open up to new projects. Even so, over the years she has achieved good data, not only in Honduras, but in the Big Brother brand and in other reality shows. And, without a doubt, she will always remember her participation in the 2016 and 2018 Chimes. Now, she remains to see what her future holds.
