Today I would like to show in La Vanguardia Readers’ Photos some images taken yesterday afternoon between Sant Celoni and Santa Maria de Palautordera, in the Vallès Oriental region.
One afternoon where, among other phenomena, we had several opportunities to see rainbows, which appeared on two occasions and both times they did so just after an intense storm.
The rainbows could be seen first from Sant Celoni, and a few hours later, they could be observed from Maria de Palautordera.
But for there to be rainbows, you need water, in addition to the sun. The water came in the form of a storm from the neighboring region of Osona, passing through Montseny, where beautiful sheets of rain were seen.
At the end of the day, in the town of Sant Celoni, up to ten liters of much-needed rain were collected. Without a doubt, a wonderful rainbow afternoon.
