In the run-up to his arrival in Spain, Max has revealed a new original fiction project. ‘Furia’ is a series created and directed by Félix Sabroso.
As in that project, Sabroso will be surrounded by a star-studded cast, but this time it will be exclusively female, with the participation of prominent names such as Candela Peña, Carmen Machi, Nathalie Poza, Pilar Castro and Cecilia Roth.
The main cast, with vast experience in front of the cameras, will come together for the first time in this Mandarina Productions production. Filming of the play will begin next week with a view to its premiere sometime in 2025.
The series will be made up of eight episodes of approximately 25 minutes in length, which indicates a commitment to a shorter and more concentrated format than the conventional one, following the approach previously adopted by Sabroso in ‘Lies passing’.
“It is a contemporary and realistic satire that reflects the world we live in and how these women face that reality,” declared Sabroso during the event held in Madrid on Thursday, May 9.
According to the official synopsis, the series will follow “five women willing to do anything in the face of extreme situations such as extortion, oppression, deception, exclusion or manipulation in a single shared, contemporary universe, articulated around five conflicts that will develop like a butterfly effect, one as a consequence of the other.”
The contribution of Poza, Peña, Castro, Roth and Machi has been fundamental throughout the entire creative process, as Sabroso highlighted: “The story is written by and for them. The experience of working with this cast was very inspiring.”
