The circulation of trains on the R3, R4 Nord, R4 Sud, R7 and R12 of Rodalies continues to be affected this Thursday as a result of the copper theft that occurred on Sunday. According to Renfe and Adif in separate statements, the affected lines provide service as follows:
-R3: service between Puigcerdà (Girona) and Montcada-Ripollet (Barcelona) and road service to Barcelona’s Fabra i Puig station. Travelers headed to the Metro.
-R4 Nord: service between Manresa and L’Hospitalet de Llobregat (Barcelona) with 2 trains per direction per hour.
-R4 Sud: service between Sant Vicenç de Calders and L’Hospitalet de Llobregat (Barcelona) with 4 trains per direction per hour. Travelers headed to the Metro.
-R7: service to Cerdanyola del Vallès (Barcelona) with the R4 and road service to the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB).
-R12: Service between Lleida and Calaf (Lleida) and road service between Calaf and Manresa (Barcelona) to R4.
On the other hand, the breakdown of a Medway company freight train causes damage to the R4, so the convoys rotate in El Vendrell instead of in Sant Vicenç de Calders. In this way, the trains are one stop away from the end of their journey. This is one of the lines most affected by copper theft.
