BRUNSWICK HILLS —  Theft, Fallen Leaf Trail: A man called police Feb. 14 to report a $1,000 check stolen from his home. The victim said he received the mobile check Jan. 27, which was automatically deposited into his bank account. The man said he then placed the physical copy of the check in a kitchen drawer. He said he noticed on Feb. 13 that his check had been drafted out of his account and deposited into an account at a different bank. He suspects someone stole the check from the drawer but was unable to get any information from the bank regarding what account it was deposited into. The incident remained under investigation at the time of the report.
