AVON — Theft, Center Road: A business owner reported at 3:56 p.m. Feb. 15 that the catalytic converter from at least one of his commercial trucks over the past two weeks. Police had no suspects at the time of the report and an extra patrol was put on the location.
Property damage, Wyndemere Way: A resident reported a mailbox knocked down some time between 7:30 p.m. and 9:32 p.m. Feb. 15. There were no suspects at the time of the report.
Trespassing, Hollow Wood Lane: A resident called police at 10:44 a.m. Feb. 16 to report that while she was out of town, a neighbor advised her that a suspicious blue pickup was parked in her driveway. The truck was gone when police arrived at the home. Footprints were visible in the snow, leading from the driveway to the front door and back, but no prints were found anywhere else around the house. No further information was available at the time of the report.
Theft, Woodland Trail: An employee of Ryan Homes called police at 12:15 p.m. Feb. 16 to report a theft from one of the houses the company is building. No further information was available at the time of the report.
Theft, Chester Road: Management at a Walmart reported a shoplifter at 4:54 p.m. Feb. 16. The suspect fled from a security guard at the store, dropping all of the stolen merchandise. She was later stopped by police and warned not to return to the Walmart. The suspect was released without charges.
Animal complaint, Cypress East: Police responded to a call of an animal attack at a residence at 4:07 p.m. Feb. 16. The investigation found the dog did not bite the 7-year-old victim, but rather jumped on the child. The child required no medical attention and police were attempting to contact the dog owner at the time of the report.
