For the first time since the autumn of 2015 it’s a player from a Danish club which wins one of the Tipsbladets profilkåringer.
The 14 super League coaches have voted the 28-year-old defender Erik Defends from FC Midtjylland check as the winner of this Autumn’s Profile. The former player wins the prize in front of Brondby striker Kamil Wilczek and FC Copenhagen captain Carlos Zeca.
With 54 votes ended up Defends with nine more than both Zeca and Wilczek, and six of the 13 cheftrænere (Brian Priske could not vote for own players) ended up giving top marks to FC Midtjylland profile.
AaB-trainer Jacob Friis gave Defends top rated, because the player has the whole package:

Not surprisingly, the 28-year-old defender is proud to have been named to the Autumn Profile in the premier League.
– It is one of the biggest accolades you can get in Denmark. It is Tipsbladets competition, which has been in existence for many years, and there are some big names on the list of previous winners.
– It means something, when it is colleagues or the coaches who vote. They look objectively at the game and has so chosen to vote for me. I am pleased and proud, also bearing in mind that the other players have played a splendid autumn.
– I think I have provided good and stable, and this is a big honor and glory for me. But it is also a big cadeau to our team. We have delivered strong game at a high level and is after 19 matches on a pointsnit around 2.6 per match. We have conceded ten goals in 19 matches, and this ranking is both a personal accolade as well as a recognition of my team-mates and the whole team. I would like to mention my partner-in-crime partnered at the back, Alexander Scholz, and our keeper, Jesper Hansen, who is situated inside key with me, but there is also great praise for the rest of the players, ” says defender.
