From 1. January none of the Discovery’s 11 channels will be to find at YouSee – either in the fixed tv packages or mix-yourself.
It is now completely fixed, says the Discovery, which has given up trying to negotiate with the tv provider, which has about 1.2 million customers.

– It is now definitively, that there will not be an agreement with YouSee. YouSee maintains its discriminatory behavior, and therefore we now our forces going forward in the Dplay and with the other Danish tv distributors. We hope that YouSee-customers going forward will use these platforms to get access to our tv channels, ” says Christian Kemp, adm. director of Discovery Networks Denmark, in a press release.
– YouSee say they want more flexibility for their customers, but the fact is that they now offer less content for the same price only to create savings for their owners, an australian private equity fund and the Danish pension funds, says the Discovery-the boss.
Ekstra Bladet would have liked to have spoken with YouSee-director Jacob Mortensen, but he has given an answer in writing. Therein he affirms that the go up happening by the turn of the year.
‘We have since the spring negotiated with Discovery Networks, but as we came out in november, so we are now so far along in the year that we can’t reach to get a deal before the new year. Discovery’s tv channels will therefore not be a part of YouSee’s tv and streaming deals from the turn of the year.’
‘We will continue like to make a deal with the Discovery and hope that in the course of the new year can find a solution.’
‘We have negotiated several solutions, including Channel 5 and thus the greece, and returned – in wide distribution, as well as all of their channels, as well as dplay in our Mix Even the universe.’
You can continue to see the european championship football on the DR and TV3 channels, a part of the OLYMPICS in the DR and many Superliga matches via YouSee. But one will have it all, must therefore have a different solution.
