NEWTON, Mass. — After a month, a tiny house in a wealthy Boston suburb sold for less than the asking price of nearly $450,000.
According to Coldwell Banker Realty’s Hans Brings Results agent, the Newton property measuring approximately 250 square feet (23 square meters) was sold Monday for $315,000
The property, which covers 0.06 acres (0.02 hectares), was put on the market in September.
This 1970 house is described as an “adorable little studio home… featuring completely open living spaces,” with a loft and “ready-to-finish basement” and recent renovations that include a new bathroom and electrical upgrades.
In the last few months, a number of unusual properties in Boston’s hot realty market sold at high prices. The famous 10-foot-wide Skinny House in Boston sold in September for $1.25million. A home in Melrose that was destroyed by fire in September also sold for almost $400,000.
