The National Police have arrested a woman after the appearance of a body, which apparently belongs to another woman, in a landfill in the town of Las Ventas with Peña Aguilera, in Toledo.

According to sources from the investigation confirmed to Europa Press, the remains were found on Wednesday and as a result of this discovery the agents arrested a person for their alleged involvement in the events. At the moment, the investigators rule out that it is a case of gender violence.

National Police sources have informed EFE that according to the first hypotheses the body belongs to a woman, although this is pending confirmation until the victim is fully identified.

The agents have arrested a woman for her possible involvement in the events. Apparently, the detainee had some kind of dispute with the victim.

According to reports from the arrested woman’s neighbors, the woman had had a dispute over the rental of the house in a building in Carabanchel with another woman who had subsequently disappeared.

According to these same sources, the victim’s relatives, in the absence of the identification concluding that it corresponds to the body found in the province of Toledo, would have missed this woman during the past weekend or the beginning of this week.

Precisely on Wednesday, the agents went to the businesses near the portal to inspect the recordings of the security cameras and thus try to find elements that would help in the investigation. That same day there had been the discovery of human remains in the landfill and the subsequent arrest of the neighbor of the property.

The Homicide Group V of the Superior Police Headquarters of Madrid has taken charge of the case, since the investigation began in this Community, police sources have specified.
