In this series of images in Las Fotos de los Lectores de La Vanguardia I offer a visual journey through the flowering of the fields, starting from Aitona, in the Segrià region of Lleida.

The report includes a panoramic view from an Iberian town, as well as from nearby towns. The color of the flowers on the trees is indescribable, wonderful… it reaches Fraga following the valley of the Cinca river. It’s a show!

Aitona completely turns to welcoming visitors and other towns also present this great spring attraction.

A good point to see Aitona and its fields is the Iberian town of Genó, a place that has been used for panoramic views where the Seròs channel can be seen in the foreground.

The archaeological site, from the late Bronze Age, is located on top of a small mound and occupies an area of ??1,037 square meters. It has been dated to sometime in the 9th century BCE. C. and it was determined that here they produced beer and stored acorn flour.

It is also worth a visit to the monastery of Nostra Senyora dels Àngels d’Avinganya, which is located near Seròs and surrounded by blooming fields. It was the first Trinitarian establishment in Hispanic lands, founded by Joan de Mata in 1201.

From almond trees, nectarines and many other varieties of fruit trees shine at this time of year in such a way that photography is impossible to capture so much beauty.

There are routes to walk and cycle to feel the wonderful sensation of walking among the trees and flowers full of color. You can go on your own or with a guided tour.
