RansomHouse, those responsible for the cyber attack on the Clínic hospital in early March, are now threatening to publish sensitive data after the Mossos d’Esquadra blocked the hackers’ portal on the dark web this week to prevent the dissemination of the center’s data hospitable.

Through a statement, RansomHouse wants to counterattack with dissemination about patients with infectious diseases and about experimental drugs for the elderly. The criminals point out that in the coming days there will be “different changes” that will “worry” the Catalan police and ironically thank the Mossos for blocking the information because “thanks” to them they have found “a new solution” to filter data .

In the same text also shared on their Telegram channel, they wonder if the DDos attack (one of the usual techniques for hackers to try to make a website or network resource unavailable by collapsing it with malicious traffic so that it does not work) of the Mossos is legal.

The Agència de Ciberseguretat de Catalunya confirms that the statement has been disseminated through the RansomHouse channels and that the cybercriminals who stole the information from the Clinic are behind it. At the moment, the Mossos have not ruled on the matter.

After the attack, RamsonHouse demanded the hospital pay 4.5 million dollars to restore normality and the stolen data, but the center always made sure that they would not give in to any blackmail. Among the stolen data there are personal data of patients, professionals, collaborators and hospital providers.

In the folders and files appear administrative documents, analysis results or medical records, with names of patients and employees, as well as email messages between hospital staff and other centers or laboratories.
