In recent years, Amazon has launched many own brands. For example, Presto! is their brand of cleaning products, Belei cosmetics, Solimo includes everything from coffee to personal hygiene products and, under the name Mama Bear, they sell baby products.
The problem with private labels is that we cannot be sure of the quality of that product. You may be pleasantly surprised or disappointed. Therefore, it is essential that someone who has tried it explain to us what they thought.
At El Comprador de La Vanguardia we have ordered several Mama Bear brand products to find out if their diapers are absorbent enough, if the wipes clean effectively, or if their body lotions take good care of babies’ delicate skin. After trying them we tell you what we think.
We decided to buy this pack that includes four hygiene products for babies and children to test the quality of Mama Bear in this type of items. A pack that includes bath gel, shampoo, protective cream for diaper changes, and moisturizing cream for face and body.
We have put them all through several baths and many diaper changes on two children, ages 1 and 3. After all these uses, we must say that we really liked the quality of all of them.
In addition to the fact that they fulfill their function and have nothing to envy to much more well-known brands, their smell is not typical and it is very pleasant.
We bought these wipes to test them with a baby, but we must say that they are a product more suitable for cleaning hands, than for changing diapers. They are not very thick and break quite easily, therefore, for diaper changes they are too flimsy.
An ideal product to carry around in case the children get their hands or mouth dirty, but not highly recommended if we have small babies.
We have also been disappointed that they break easily when we take them out of the container or many wipes come out at once. The closing of each container is not very well done either and this causes the product to dry out.
Mama Bear, Amazon’s brand of baby products, also has a wide range of diapers for all sizes and needs. At The Buyer we tried the Disney version ultradry. That is to say, some diapers that are sold as superabsorbent and with a print of Disney cartoons.
The quality of these diapers has seemed good to us. They are very thin and this offers comfort to the baby and, in addition, they absorb a lot. The only drawback is at night. Although they are very absorbent, for a whole night of pee they are a little tight compared to other well-known brands.
We decided to test these bottles to see the quality of the materials and whether their design is suitable for tiny babies. After using them for a few weeks to offer water and juice to a 15-month-old baby, we can say that we are very satisfied.
The quality of the materials is very good, similar to other well-known brands. The design is also beautiful and the correct utility. The best, in our opinion, is its resistance. After several launches from the high chair or stroller, the bottles remain the same as the first day.
They have two handles that the baby can easily grasp and have a small lid that you can put inside so that the liquid does not spill while you carry it in a backpack or bag.
The last product of the Mama Bear brand that we have tried are these ‘Pants’ type diapers. A very easy model to put on and take off, soft and absorbent.
We bought these to test on a 4 year old who sometimes has nightly leaks. He has only used it at night and on the days that he has leaked his pee it has worked perfectly. They are very absorbent, of good quality and the child is very comfortable with them.
The downside we find is the size. Compared to other brands on the market, they are a bit tight. For this reason, we must recommend buying one size larger than what the baby usually wears.
