The Civil Guard continues to investigate the violent death of the owner of Bodega Guillermo, an establishment located in Cuzcurrita de RÃo Tirón, last Tuesday.
The lifeless body of the 78-year-old man was found at his home in the La Rioja town with signs of violence, as stated by the Armed Institute.
The Organic Unit of the Judicial Police of the Civil Guard in La Rioja opened an investigation to clarify the facts. The proceedings have been declared secret.
The mayor of Cuzcurrita de RÃo Tirón, Román Urrecho, has shown the “dismay” of the municipality over the murder of the owner of ‘Bodega Guillermo’, whose body was found lifeless with signs of violence this morning. “We are very sorry,” he added.
In statements to Europa Press, Urrecho has advanced that the City Council has declared three days of official mourning for the death of the neighbor, as well as that the flags will fly at half mast during those days.
He has recognized that the murdered man was a “friend” and a neighbor, since “he lived next to my house.” In fact, he has lived “all his life” here and has a “very extended” family.
