The ERC deputy in Parliament Antoni Flores has died this Monday at the age of 60, as reported by the party itself in a note on Twitter collected by Europa Press, in which it has conveyed its condolences to family and friends.

Flores, born in 1963 and who had studied Industrial Technical Engineering, was a deputy in Parliament for the Alt Pirineu and Aran (Lleida).

An ERC activist since 1992, he was president of the Pallars Jussà County Federation since 2012, councilor and deputy mayor in the Tremp (Lleida) City Council since 2015 and vice-president of the first Pallars Jussà County Council (2019-2021).

The President of the Generalitat, Pere Aragonès, has lamented the death of Antoni Flores, whom he has remembered as “a good person and committed to the Pyrenees”.

“The sudden death of Antoni Flores, a fellow ERC deputy in Parliament, leaves us speechless and with a great void. A good person, made of carved stone and committed to the Pyrenees, is leaving,” he said in a tweet on Monday.
