The electoral campaign seems to have the focus on Consell de Cent street, but this Sunday the residents of the rest of the neighborhoods of Barcelona also vote. The PSC candidate wanted to show it this Thursday from the Ciutat Meridiana library, evoking the words of Pasqual Maragall when he said: “Know that when you fix a neighborhood, you are beginning to fix the world.”

Collboni promises to follow in the footsteps of the socialist mayors, to whom he refers in all his acts. And he wants to do it by recovering the volume of investment that the City Council once allocated to improve the neighborhoods furthest from the city center, where the Socialists have historically been strong. The socialist mayor claims himself as “the authentic transforming left that improves people’s lives” and to make it a reality he plans to invest 750 million euros a year in actions in the different neighborhoods of the city, recovering the volume of spending from Jordi’s time Hereu. With Trias it fell to 465 million and in the last mandate of common and socialists in coalition it has risen to 530 million.

The figures released by Collboni are based on a detailed documentation prepared by his team with 210 performances in the 73 neighborhoods of the city. In it are projects for Ciutat Meridiana, Bon Pastor and Besòs as well as works on the Rambla and the recovery plan for thirty block interiors in the Eixample.
