Members of the Castrillón Local Police, Civil Guard and National Police have identified the young woman found dead this Wednesday on the Salinas beach in a coordinated action. She is a minor under the age of 17 who had been absent since last night from the center that protected her in Oviedo.
According to information from the Castrillón City Council, the minor, Y.Z., had also been rescued in February in the vicinity of Salinas beach.
A fisherman from Salinas alerted the Local Police and the Civil Guard this morning, around 7:15 a.m., to the presence of the lifeless body of a young woman. Members of both bodies appeared on the sand next to the coroner.
On the other hand, this Tuesday, May 30, there was an intervention in Gijón with several police devices in the Cerro de Santa Catalina to rescue a 19-year-old girl.
According to police sources, a citizen notice of a risk situation was received late in the afternoon and the young woman rushed when she saw the security and emergency device arrive. She was rescued from a helicopter without serious injuries.
