Six hundred prisoners conspire to escape from the Modelo prison in Barcelona. For fifteen days, they dig a tunnel towards the sewers with plates, wood, iron and any object that comes along. On June 2, 1978, 45 of them intimidated an official in the forklift and forced him to accompany them to one of the outer mouths of the sewer, from which they fled after dodging the action of the Civil Guard. .
Passers-by watch in astonishment as ill-equipped individuals of suspicious origin emerge from the sewer system, invading the sidewalks. Most are in their twenties. In full transition, they star in one of the most spectacular prison breaks in the history of Spain. The Police took eight years to find the last of them.
