The MEP from Catalonia en Comú Ernest Urtasun has joined Sumar’s team as a spokesperson during the electoral campaign.
The second vice president and leader of Sumar, Yolanda DÃaz, is thus forming her campaign team, after yesterday she incorporated the former leader of Podemos Pablo Bustinduy, considered an errejonista, who will assume the international area of the formation.
In Sumar they highlight that Urtasun is an economist and career diplomat, a member of the European Parliament since 2014 for the commons and is currently vice president of the Green group in the European Parliament.
The MEP has long been considered a figure close to the second vice-president, with whom last February he co-starred in a dialogue on the challenges of the European Union.
“From Sumar we are building a project with social and climate justice at the center and, therefore, we aspire to build a country that carries out a just ecological transition that has the world of work inside,” they have reported.
Meanwhile, DÃaz continues to negotiate bilaterally with other political forces the left-wing coalition that will contest the July 23 elections and whose registration deadline expires Friday at midnight.
