A joint police operation between the Mossos d’Esquadra and the National Police has ended with three men arrested in l’Hospitalet de Llobregat related to the theft of a luxury watch valued at 500,000 euros.
The arrest took place on June 9 when leaving an apartment where they were staying and keeping the object of great economic value. The alleged robbery took place a day earlier, on June 8, when the victim was leaving a restaurant in Barcelona.
The National Police notified the Mossos of the arrival of three men specialized in stealing luxury watches from Italy. One day after the warning, the group acted and the security forces did too.
The group of thieves used a scooter-type motorcycle to approach the victim at the exit of a luxury restaurant in the Catalan capital and flee at high speed. The motorcycle has also been seized.
The €500,000 watch has been returned to its owner. Those arrested have already gone to court and the judge has decreed prison for two of them.
