The heavy rains recorded in recent days throughout Catalonia have had an effect on the region’s water reserves. The reservoirs of the Ter-Llobregat system, which supply Barcelona and its metropolitan area and Girona and its surroundings, continue to increase their capacity, which is now close to 28% in total, with 27.86%, compared to 26.3% of the Friday of last week.
This is the latest update on the status of the reservoirs of the Catalan Water Agency (ACA), which shows that the reservoirs of this system have reached 169.28 cubic hectometers of water, and this increase is due to the rains recorded in Catalonia in recent days. The data, published on Saturday, was recorded on Friday, which excludes yesterday’s rains.
The internal Catalan basins have also increased and are at 26.49%: the Darnius Boadella reservoir is at 17.15% of its capacity; that of Sau is at 21.18%; Susqueda at 26.38%; Baells is at 41.66%; La Llosa del Cavall, at 25.42%; Sant Ponç, at 33.20%; Foix, at 68.48%; Siurana, at 2.56%, and Riudecanyes, at 2.56%.
