Second model of the Nothing, the company that Carl Pei created after leaving OnePlus. The new terminal is called (of course) Nothing Phone (2) and maintains an almost identical design to the first of the brand’s terminals, although it improves all the features. Little by little, this young company is acquiring the capacity to grow this model, which is so clearly inspired by the iPhone that it is almost a declaration of principles (and of love).

The second generation of Nothing’s phone once again exploits its luminous rear interface, called Glyph, which means that some notifications do not have to appear on the screen and that user interaction is not only easier, but also more pleasant. This brand’s own system has increased the number of LED segments, allowing a greater degree of customization. For example, it can be used as a visual timer, signal the arrival of transportation and food services, and set essential notifications, which cause the upper right LED light area to glow continuously until served.

The user can assign the Glyph interface to assign custom light and sound sequences for each contact and notification, so with the phone face down on the table, you can get quick information at a glance. Among other functions, it also visually indicates the battery charge and is a bright flashlight. An app allows you to set ringtones for Glyph.

The Nothing Phone (2) is equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip, a processor that equipped a large part of the premium Android range in 2022. It is not about making extraordinary leaps, but about growing steadily, and that is what this component represents. The screen of the second Nothing is 6.7-inch OLED with a screen refresh between 1 Hz and 120 Hz to offer the appropriate clarity in each context. The battery also grows to 4,700 mAH and has fast charging (15W), wireless and reverse (you can charge another mobile by contact).

The Nothing Phone (2) photographic system consists of a 50-megapixel main camera and a 50-megapixel wide-angle camera. Nothing has incorporated into the new model an image signal processor 4,000 times more powerful than its predecessor. Advancements in photography include advanced HDR that blends 8 frames for sharp images. In addition, the AI ??helps to correctly focus on moving subjects. Video recording reaches 4K resolution at 60 fps and has an Action Mode that combines optical stabilization with electronics.

In just two generations, Nothing has put its model on an elevated footing. It lacks fewer and fewer things to compete for a place in the high-end range and, instead, it has things that no one else offers, such as its Glyph interface and the second version of its operating system, Nothing OS, based on Android, with an exquisite design. monochrome and smooth transitions. It’s called user experience. The Nothing Phone (2) will be sold in Spain from July 21 and will be available in two colors, white and dark grey, with three variants of RAM and storage: 8 GB / 128 GB (649 euros), 12 GB / 256 GB (699 euros), and 12 GB / 512 GB (799 euros).
