Vocational Training continues to be one of the pillars of the Spanish educational system. In the last five courses there has been an increase of almost 30% in the number of students in this type of training, according to the latest statistics on Vocational Training from the Ministry of Education and Vocational Training (MEFP) collected by the Educaedu Group.

Aware of the demand from students and training centers, the Government approved the new Vocational Training (FP) system in mid-July, which includes more than 9,000 training offers and will be implemented as of the next academic year 2023-2024.

“We continue to deploy this country project called Vocational Training, which responds to the needs of young people and workers to access quality jobs or to improve their employability,” the Minister of Education and Vocational Training highlighted at the time. , Pilar Alegria.

The ultimate goal of this new system is to generalize dual education, which combines the theoretical part of the training with internships in companies. Through a collaboration agreement between the training center and the company, students will have a great opportunity to learn first-hand how the labor market for which they are being trained works.

This duality will translate into a series of internship hours, which are expected to be mostly paid. Specifically, in the basic degree there will be a maximum of 400 hours of internship in companies, while in the intermediate degree it will range between 400 and 750 hours.

Another of the main novelties of the new FP system has to do with the curricula. For the first time, these include new training modules in all cycles, both Intermediate Level and Higher Level, which address key aspects of the current economy. We refer to technical aspects such as digitization, but also others such as sustainability, English or employability. All of them will help future professionals to better understand the labor market.

At the same time, it is planned to incorporate new training profiles such as company experts, who will be able to teach and provide training.

If you have always wanted to study nursing, the Nursing Assistant Care Technician course is an excellent opportunity. It is a program taught by the CCC Center for Culture and Knowledge, online and with a flexible duration, where the student has a tutor at their disposal.

For those interested in the world of education, the Higher Degree in Early Childhood Education is available, taught by IFP – Grupo Planeta. With this training, you will learn about the education of the little ones, about the development and enhancement of their abilities and about how to design, activate and evaluate educational programs.

Vocational Training also opens the door to other sectors such as finance. With the Administration and Finance Advanced Training Cycle, taught by Jesuïtes Education in collaboration with the UOC, you will learn to organize and execute management and administration in the commercial, accounting, fiscal and financial processes of a company, whether public or private, multinational or SME.

For motor lovers, Campus Training offers the Automobile Electromechanical Technician course. Through this distance training, the student will be trained in the maintenance of the electromechanical elements of the automobile: thermal engines and auxiliary systems, running gear and the electrical system in general.
