The legend explains that the Spanish Socialist Workers’ Party, since it is led by the Spanish socialist, but not a worker, Pedro Sánchez, has launched itself to occupy the institutions without any kind of contemplation. I think several things. The first and fundamental, that the legend tells the truth. The second, that it is not the first party or the first head of government to execute such an occupation. The third, that the occupying instinct is condemnable, but perhaps inevitable: whoever has the power, wants to have everything and will not make this kind of gifts to the opposition. And the fourth, that there is no great difference between the different levels of execution: national, regional or local. What happens is that in the latter two it is less noticeable.

We are facing something impudent, but with strong logic of power, especially in systems without effective control mechanisms. Whoever governs in these systems pulls the strings to avoid cracks in their historic mission. If Mr. Núñez Feijóo were the president, he would do the same or something similar; since it is not yet, it puts all the obstacles in place so that, for example, the Council of the Judiciary is not occupied, even if it violates the Constitution. It was not the case that judges obedient to the Executive were appointed.

What is exciting these days is what many published opinions consider an assault on the institution that, even if it seems incredible, was missing to colonize: Spanish Radiotelevision. It seems that in the central government partial control of the council was not enough, but absolute dominance was needed. You have to see the maneuvers that were made and the interests that were touched to get Broncano to perform his Resistencia on TVE, fight the power of Pablo Motos on Antena 3 and make everything look like an accident.

Objective accomplished. The task was so meritorious and the result so obvious, that I have to make a suggestion: since these operations require so much effort and intelligence, we must know the intellectual author and the physical executor, and much more if it is the same person. The taxpayer has the right to know where the talent is hidden. More than anything, because whoever is able to mount this conquest of the institutional hills, must be able to solve the real problems of the country.
